Nik’s Story

A big thank you to Andy for helping me to achieve these results. Looking back a few months ago, I actually didn't realise how out of shape I'd gotten. I'm also surprised at how quickly the results have come, just from adding some structure to my diet and training I now feel leaner, stronger and more confident to be able to take my shirt off on the beach.

Andy has been understanding of me and fit a plan to me and my lifestyle, meaning that I've still been able to have a beer at the weekends and have control of my diet, so that I can enjoy what I'm eating

Emma’s Story

After far too long thinking I was fairly fit and healthy, a summer of indulgence was the final straw that led both myself and my husband to signing up with Andy in September 2016. It's easily the best decision we've ever made. We train for an hour two times a week and Andy really puts us through our paces. What I particularly enjoy about Andy's sessions is that he focuses on embedding the correct technique for each exercise and then, just when you start to get a little more comfortable, he ups the weight or adapts the movement and challenges you all over again. There are inevitably times when, especially at 6am you're feeling a little bit tired and less than motivated but Andy doesn't allow you to work at anything other than your hardest, with simple, purposeful yet supportive encouragement to not stop until the reps are complete! The exercises, combined with a much healthier diet (that Andy monitors via a weekly food diary and email check-in) has made an incredible difference in my body shape and fitness, all of which is tracked monthly with measurements and photographs. Without doubt, I'm in the best shape since my late teens. I truly can't recommend Andy highly enough!

Nigel’s Story

At 55 years old after 35 years in the corporate world, I was 2 stones overweight, stressed, had irregular sleep patterns, and lacked energy.

I contacted Andy ‘Coach’ Rimmer from Pro-Fit Personal Training for advice, but remained cynical. Andy devised a bespoke eating plan linked to a one to one training regime. I trained with Andy two days a week and by myself three times. I was amazed by the results.

Within twelve weeks my weight had dropped by over 24lbs my body fat was down by 10%, I was getting a good 7 hours sleep every night, my stress levels reduced, and my energy levels massively increased! This is an extremely effective training and nutrition program and demonstrates that ‘age is just a number!’

Matt’s Story

Since finishing playing rugby in the summer of 2012 I had struggled to maintain any form of fitness. I had focused on my coaching commitments at school, club and representative level and had formed lazy habits around exercising, eating and drinking.

Then on top of this, I had Bell's Palsy in April 2016 which only lasted a month but it affected my balance badly so I could not exercise at all for 3 months. I then went on holiday to Canada for a month in August 2016 and when I returned I was a whopping 15 stone - this was the heaviest I had ever been by a long way.

With all of these things combined, I got in touch with Andy to try and build sustainable habits in the gym and with my diet. Andy's expertise throughout has been priceless and, although it has been hard work getting out of bed at 5.30am every weekday morning, I have now dropped to 13 stone (2 stone lost) and feel in the shape of my life!

Andy has provided brilliant personalised support throughout and has certainly opened my eyes to the importance of diet when training. I now feel fresh and energised rather than sluggish! I have completed this with my wife and the changes Andy has helped us implement has made a huge difference to our diet - we now batch cook meals to take to work on a Sunday for the week ahead so we are both accountable to each other.

Lucy’s Story

I have always been a keen sportsperson and considered myself to be fairly physically fit throughout my life. Despite this, I was always something of an emotional eater and depending on what was going on in my life, my weight constantly fluctuated. I joined Weight Watchers several times and saw success from these periods of calorie counting but, inevitably, always yoyo-d back up to a size I felt uncomfortable with. Following a particularly difficult break-up and usual response of 3 months of eating and drinking excessively to ironically ‘make myself feel better’, I decided to join Weight Watchers again and also join a gym.

During one of many onerous cardio sessions at the gym which made 10 minutes feel like an hour I ended up having a conversation with Andy about personal training! I began training with him and I thought it would be a great way to help me along the way to lose the weight I had piled on recently. In my mind it was purely another short term fix, along with more calorie counting to get me back to a weight I felt vaguely comfortable with but I learned a lot more than that. Andy taught me that I didn’t need to do endless hours of monotony on the cross trainer and that training could be as much fun as playing the sports I love. I found the nutrition coaching fascinating but hadn’t appreciated how what I ate, rather than how much I ate impacted on my energy levels and body fat percentage.

I have been receiving nutrition coaching and personal training from Andy for 2 and a half years now and I have dropped 2 dress sizes from a 12 to an 8. I continue to enjoy cooking and eating a wide variety of food but no longer have uncontrollable cravings for sugary foods and never feel ‘deprived’. More importantly, I feel fitter, more productive at work, healthier and am a better, more effective performer in the sports I love.


Mark’s Story

I came back from Australia after 3 months of travelling, having done very little exercise and having paid very little attention to my diet. When I arrived home I decided that I needed to do something about it and contacted Andy and Pro Fit.

I have always been involved in sport having played all sports at school and having played cricket to a very high level. I have also always been a keen gym goer but always felt like my training lacked structure and that my diet needed monitoring to make sure I was eating the right things. My goals were pretty vein in that ultimately I wanted to look better.

Andy started educating me on my diet, giving me guidelines on what to eat and when, in order to maximise performance and my results. Alongside training and a gym schedule from Natalie, which was high intensity and gave me the structure I needed also allowing me to train on my own as well as the two sessions per week with Nat, this worked wonders and I quickly began to see weight drop off me. I weighed myself weekly and also took regular photos to track my progress as the weeks went on.

When I started with Andy and Natalie in May I was an unhappy 227lbs but have subsequently lost 37.7lbs and I have more than halved my body fat from 27.7% to 13.8% as well as losing 188.3mm from my 12 measure points. I have enjoyed every moment of the training and nutrition and it has had a huge effect on my personal life, I now feel far healthier as well as being far more confident in myself. I can not thank Andy, Nat and Pro Fit enough for all their help and I now feel that I have the tools to continue forward on my journey.


Adele’s Story

At 49, nearly 3 stones overweight, always feeling tired with no motivation to exercise - something had to change. Shopping for clothes was a chore to be avoided. Every diet I tried over the years worked for a while but when the ‘willpower’ ran out, the weight piled back on.

My friend recommended Andy at Pro-Fit so reluctantly, I agreed to try it for one month. I was so happy with the results and how much more energy I had, I decided to carry on….. The combination of Andy’s nutritional advice and support with exercise was clearly the winning formula I had been looking for.

I have now dropped 3 dress sizes from 18 to 12 and lost 2 and half stone. I feel stronger and fitter (even doing housework seems easier) I have also learnt that there is no need to ‘diet’, it is just about making the right choices.
